After a 90 minute weather delay, German born Martin Kaymer nailed down his first win in two years.

The 2014 Players Championship belonged to Kaymer from the first day of the tournament as he led after eighteen, thirty-six and fifty-four holes. He briefly allowing Jordan Spieth to take the lead on Sunday, but Kaymer ended the day shooting a 1-under 71 en route to a one stroke victory over late charging, Jim Furyk.

The Par 3, 17th hole, true to form gave Kaymer some trouble. His tee shot landed 65 feet from the hole just missing the front bunker. He sank an incredible 28-foot putt to save par as Furyk could only watch as the 29 year old held on to his one stroke lead.

A par on the last hole preserved the round and the tournament for Kaymer, who is only fourth European player to win the Players Championship. (Sandy Lyle, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson)

American, Jordan Spieth went the first 58 holes without a bogey. The 20 year old then hit a rough patch and bogeyed five of eleven holes. He went on to finish at 10-under for the tournament, tied for fourth with Justin Rose.
